LOGISTICS OF RECYCLING OF THE WORN OUT ELECTRICAL FROM DESIGNING UP TO PROCESSINGAND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.
Problems of the waste disposal of the worn out electrical and electronic equipment constitute the serious challenge for all institutions dealing with the collection and processing this equipment, especially when the amended EU Directive from year 2012 comes into force. Material prepared in the publication includes all cells of the life cycle of these technical means. In particular, one has considered the technical, logistic and information exchange problems.
The issues presented in the work concern the stage of designing of the equipment, including environment-friendly design techniques, as well as their evaluation at analysis of the life cycle. A possibility of using the bill of materials (components) as well as disassembly visualisations for the purposes of recycling were described. One has presented the processing methods of equipment, after delivering it to the processing plant, including methods of disassembly and characteristics of grinding and separating machines. The substantial role in using identification systems was pointed out, that is: bar codes, 2D codes and RFID system to the needs of disassembly and recycling.
Guidelines of the logistic system design of the worn out electrical and electronic equipment collection were also described, along with the analysis of behaviours of final customers of the equipment and way of informing about conducting such collections. Means of transport and storage of worn out electrical and electronic equipment as well as the exemplary plan of the processing plant were presented, along with the selection of particular lines, machines and means of transport.
The monograph supplements the gap in literature available on the market concerning the worn out electrical and electronic equipment development, including the design and assembly, i.e. initial stages of the life cycle. It can be helpful for persons working in institutions responsible for various stages of the life cycle of electrical and electronic equipment, companies collecting and processing worn out electrical and electronic equipment, educational institutions associated with the design, mechanical engineering, recycling, logistics and transport.
